The boat was built in 1914 and has been used for everything from dances to gambling. Its former Captain Winters was legendary for being somewhat shady. It's claimed that he killed a deckhand named Floyd during an argument when he sent him to do work on the paddle wheel and then ordered full steam ahead, which killed Floyd.
