In Palm Beach Gardens, Tommy runs drills alongside the trainees of LK9 who are on the road to become taskforce members of the boys in blue. Then he meets the service dogs of CAMO, training to support disabled veterans. In Freeport Florida, singer Aaron Young thanks his bite-sized support pooch for the lifesaving companionship.

Man's Best Friend

Tommy is bringing us the befores and afters of dog rescue. First in California, dozens of Pomeranian puppies get the star treatment after being saved from a life covered in filth. Tommy joins Animal Aid USA, one of the largest and most successful animal rescue caravans in the United States. Every single month Karen Talbot and her team transport hundreds of animals from Georgia to New Jersey. Meanwhile, in California, we take a look at a Wheaton terrier who is on the road to recovery.

On The Road

Tommy travels to Utah to visit the Saylor family, who run Fetch Cares, an animal 'fospice' for dogs with special needs. We meet Tori Saylor, who with the help of her dog Ember, gained confidence, and created a thriving family business. In Washington State Melissa McKee gets a second chance at life through her dog Harper, Lastly, we visit a dog named Dante, who became a dock diving champion.

Underdogs

Tommy travels to Alaqua Animal Refuge to meet rescue animals of all shapes, sizes and species! We meet Barely, a dog who "barely" survived his traumatic past only to land in a loving forever home with a woman who made her own remarkable recovery from trauma. We also visit Miss Martha, a sweet dog who made it out of a terrible hoarding situation and is now flourishing in her golden years.

Tommy joins forces with the Dowdy Ferry Animal Commission, a group of dog activists determined to rid their city of animal abuse from Dowdy Ferry Road, an infamous area where helpless dogs are abandoned. We Need A Hero

Tommy teams up with the Bissell Pet Foundation to visit Franklin County Animal Control in Tennessee. With the help of Operation Freedom Ride, the team is determined to get dogs out of the shelter and on to their forever homes.
